TeacherLine has a demonstrable effect on student academic achievement.

A study by researchers from
Hezel Associates and the Education Alliance at Brown University showed that schools in which at least ten percent of the teachers participated in PBS TeacherLine course had statistically significant achievement gains, in comparison with schools that did not use PBS TeacherLine. Student performance in the “PBS TeacherLine” schools rose in an overall measure (the state ‘report card') as well as against the standardized test scores in content areas covered by the PBS TeacherLine courses.
